Biography
Marty Kelty graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison in 2022 where he worked in Dr. Laura Knoll's lab studying the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. Following graduation, he joined the Beattie lab and has been working through a high throughput screen of ~150,000 molecules. He has identified several candidate compounds which are under investigation as potential anti-fungals.
Marty plans to attend graduate school in the future and will likely stay within microbiology as he is fascinated by microscopic organisms and how they cause disease in humans.
