Oskar Walter graduated from the University of Iowa with bachelor’s degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology in 2017. After working six and a half years in an industrial laboratory, he joined the Beattie lab in September 2024 to help identify novel antifungal drug candidates from a library of over 150,000 compounds using high-throughput drug screen techniques established under Dr. Beattie and Marty Kelty. 

When not in the lab, Oskar enjoys gardening, gaming, and music.
